Rustic Wedding in Casa Santo António de Britiande, Lamego — Rita & João

Rita and João live in Porto, but it was in Lamego that they decided to get married.

"Casa de Santo António is located in Britiande (a small village 5 km from Lamego, in the district of Viseu), at the crossroads of the Douro and Távora-Varosa wine regions.

Being in a privileged position to explore the magnificent scenery of the Douro Valley, the world's first demarcated wine region established by the Marquis of Pombal on September 10, 1756, and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on December 14, 2001."

So, I headed to the most beautiful corner of this region for a wedding decorated by the couple's mothers - the most personal touch there could be.

From the preparations to the end of the celebration, there was lots of laughter, heartfelt words, some nostalgic tears, but above all, an abundance of love.
