It was within this enchanting backdrop that Luís chose to propose to Andreia, and I had the privilege of capturing their beautiful love story amidst the magical surroundings of Quinta de Sant'Ana.

Luís contacted me on Instagram after seeing my portfolio and wanted me to be the one to photograph his proposal to Andreia. We agreed on the time and location over the phone, and we decided that the best approach would be for me to hide until the designated moment, when he would send me a message to let me know he was about to propose. Later, we would meet with Andreia's family, who were also there to surprise her and congratulate them on their engagement.

So, as soon as I arrived and spoke with the organizers, I hurriedly made my way to our designated spot and searched for a hiding place. I sent a quick message to Luís to let him know I had arrived and was ready. It was at that moment that a light drizzle started to fall! Thankfully, the weather gods decided to part the clouds, and the rain stopped just as they arrived.

Luís and Andreia arrived, ready for a picnic in the vineyards, with a stunning bouquet of organic flowers produced by the estate. I remained hidden while they enjoyed their picnic, eagerly waiting for THE SIGNAL!

And so, I casually emerged from my hiding spot as if I were just passing by, with my camera discreetly hidden in a tote bag so Andreia wouldn't suspect a thing. It was when I greeted them with a simple "good afternoon" that Luís got down on one knee, and in that instant, I whipped out my camera and caught Andreia completely by surprise!
