ThanksGiving 2023
Here we are, Turkey day.
I have to be honest, this was a long long year. Seems like last December is so far away.
This year was rough to me. Came with some hardships I didn’t saw coming, some were just waiting for the right time to happen. Expect disappointment is basically a motto.
Life wise, nothing new. By this time is basically a bummer, truth be told. But I have great hopes for 2024! It’s such a cute number isn’t it?
But let’s get to it, shall we?
6 flights, 1 new city, 1 new country, 12 books, 100 movies, 10 of them in the theatre (low count this year!), went to the beach twice and had my very first Bola de Berlim at the beach. Didn’t do much cooking, but baked 3 beautiful birthday cakes, very proud of that. Went to a concert (Harry Styles), went to war for Taylor Swift and won! Got three new tattoos (small ones) and started filming content for myself and a couple brands. Whoohoo! Shot weddings in 3 venues that were on my wishlist and the most perfect surprise proposal in my fave beach in Azores.
Still thankful for Greys Anatomy ( It will live longer than I will, I swear), Bones and Bear and Fleabag. Gilmore Girls and Sex and The City or as it is called now, And Just Like That.
Thankful for warm sweaters, kittens and their purr, tiktok and an awful amount of shares for the people I love the most. Cinnamon buns and lattes and all the donuts one can eat. Bimbimbap all the way and all the drinks at Planto. Sunrises in Lisbon, and sunsets in Sintra. Walk until your feet hurt. Long rants on the phone. Thankful for my fave Ben & Jerrys flavour that was back for a limited time and pizza nights everytime there’s football on. Thankful for all the pretty Legos and journaling for the mind. Dinners and lunches and brunches with friends that made me an auntie. Best friends getting engaged, and married. Long nights listening to Taylor Swift in videocalls. Up until 6 am for ReRecord announcements. TÁ REPUTANDO! All the giggles, the memes and the inside jokes.
Thankful for morning cappuccinos that are made with the most love. Pumpkin Spice even when it’s sold out. Beautiful rings and cozy setups. Candles that smell like Autumn. The color orange and the sky turning pink. Long walk on the beach at night. Going to London and seeing old time friends. Fluffyness. All the good food. Slow mornings and busy nights. Thankful for all the couples that trust my work. For the friends that stick around even tho I am weird af. For the family that is always there.
Forever thankful for having so much love in my life.
